ClipMate Smart Paste transforms clipboard text before you paste it (3 free/day when signed in; Pro for higher limits). When you use Smart Paste, only the selected clipboard item and your prompt are sent for that request. ClipMate History keeps regular, unpinned clipboard history searchable in your device’s memory; pinned clips can be saved, and signed-in users can sync pinned clips and saved Smart Paste prompts across devices.

Absolutely. ClipMate is built on a privacy-first, local-only architecture for regular history. Your unpinned clipboard history lives in your device’s RAM — it is not written to disk, uploaded, or shared with third parties, and it clears when you close the app. Only clipboard items you explicitly pin can be saved locally; signed-in users can also sync pinned clips and saved Smart Paste prompts. Sync uses HTTPS in transit and Supabase encryption at rest; client-side end-to-end encryption is not currently provided. Smart Paste is separate: when you invoke it, only the selected clipboard item and your prompt are sent for that request. ClipMate does not use third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or ads.
